  18. <p>     Hardly anyone was shocked last week when newspapers
  19. blossomed with reports that Elizabeth Taylor, 58, was "blooming
  20. again, like a rose" because of a 23-year-old boyfriend. The
  21. story was all a hoax: the so-called boyfriend--an actor named
  22. Julian Lee Hobbs, a.k.a. Rory Emerald--denied the connection
  23. to La Liz but was flattered by the link. The actress, who was in
  24. a California hospital since April, (she was released last week),
  25. has never met Emerald. But she does know something about
  26. diamonds.
